Jaipur Sojourn

Can a city really capture someone and hold them so close that they don't feel like leaving?
It happens,sometimes..
This is a humble city but with a lingering and lasting heritage that never fails to shine and illuminate each and every one of its corners...
Right from the glory and the stately nature of its Albert Hall with its bright white walls and royal interiors to the genius of its Jantar mantar, the city never ceases to amaze..
The city palace has a long lasting heritage which beacons even a stranger to chat up to it...the shops are colorful and the bangles endless, never leaving one's wrists, never really letting go of the curious tourist.. soaking him in them...
The food scrumptious, flavorful, and yet light like a little feather,a gentle stroke to the gastronomy...
But nothing can beat the city at night, while Delhi is drowned in smog and coated by dust, Jaipur offers a basket of night time sky, each star poised...
All the constellations proudly visible in this deep inky empyrean,
The little night lights take shape of the architectural glory and the facades of buildings lit up ...giving a shape and beauty to the sky you'd never find with the dull square lights of the metros's ugly sky scrappers...
And with Amer fort actually speaking out its legacy to us lesser mortals, one feels indeed humbled by the sound and light attempt...which so aptly captures her angst and lonliness,,,
Jaipur, I will return not once but twice, as there is a promise of a ghost town around u as well.. farewell and god speed...

Marketing ka Halwa

Har admi marketing ka halwa bana ke dusre ke halak mein dale ja raha hae … Bura haal hae… Marketing is certainly not what it wanted to be, today if you measure marketing on its own brand prism, it would indeed lie defeated on all counts. Every 1 person enterprise has a marketing budget these days, translated as money spent on consumer nuisance and harassment. As if it’s not boring enough to be serenaded by Irfan’s dull as ditch water middle aged act every few minutes on TV, courtesy Vodafone, we have to bear inane ads linking things like soap with Vishwas and Bharosa. What the hell has bharosa got to do with a standard consumer durable like soap?? Is the emotional pull even required?? I am quite happy if my soap smells good .. and thank god for that. Does a consumer really buy more if an Aggarbatti promises to invoke god? Or if a Galaxy tab can help sketch some man with a tap running on his head? Does it all really account to more sales or just more NOISE? Leave apart the insaneness of

an equal balance

im the new sms, im the unplucked rose, im the rush of adrenalin, im that drop of prose, im the bride of desire, im the unbridled fire, im the liberal oxygen, im the favourite season, im that love you never saw, far away when i raised the sos, the smoke which disappeared, leaving its burnt hut splinterless, im not the ship you ride in high tide, but im an equal balance if you believe in the divide.

jargon

Respect me for my knowledge and not for my age .... is that what most of us say.. all the time secretly wishing and hoping for admirers ..??... Life has made me this way ... do we always blame life and its many travestys to be the cause of our selfishness , our reserve and our ascerbity ???...... I dont give free advice .. is this the way we want our ego to be satiated and our words to be valued ..???? lets do it another day .. is this the way we ward of challenges and stick to our homegrounds ??? When we want our juniors to challenge us , to speak out , are we willing to listen to them ..??.. or change ???... or are these mere words meant to be repeated in every company meeting ..... Can i stop being CEO for a change ???....
